How does it work?

Inside, a technological breakthrough in smart dynamic safety.

The Go-Barry is one Smart Moving Traffic Barrier for safe, dynamic and intelligent (road) barriers. The Go-Barry can move itself within the current form and guidelines of a vehicle-retaining barrier and makes it possible to carry out work on national highways safely behind a barrier with a minimum of hindrance. 

The barrier consists of: separate barrier elements of 12 meters that can be linked together to any desired length. Traditional barriers are static and must be moved using large equipment. The Go-Barry is remote controlled and can therefore be driven safely to the right place. The Go-Barry can also drive along during the work and dynamically close and open lanes.  

By using the Go-Barry, work areas are shorter and less time is lost on moving barriers. The biggest advantage is of course that we have the greatly increase the safety of both road workers and road users. This is because with the Go-Barry it is possible to carry out work that was previously carried out behind an open barrier (cones/guide beacons) behind a vehicle barrier.

APPLICATIONS

Temporary barriers

  • Barriers, such as complete road closures and exit closures during weekends and nights;
  • Operations where lane clearance is necessary during rush hour or during the day;
  • Short-term operations such as asphalt paving work, research and inspections;
  • Traffic systems.

Dynamic deposits

Driving operations or moving activities, such as replacement or maintenance of lamps and guide rails, roadside maintenance, laying cables and pipes, etc.

From the outside, the Go-Barry may still look like the static barrier as we know it today, but on the inside it is a technological breakthrough in smart dynamic safety. The electric drive and radio control protect the environment and drivers and road workers stay out of the danger zone.

In addition, the Go-Barry is equipped with smart sensors, which register the impact in the event of a collision, but can also measure traffic intensity and speed. This gives us live data that we can use for an even safer way of working.
