Safety afternoon

'Consciously innovate safely together'. Based on this theme, Travinci, in collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat, Boskalis Nederland, STAN and Wagenaar Engineering, organized a Safety Afternoon on March 29, 2023.
Because how do we currently innovate on safety? What are hindering factors? Why is it important? And what kind of innovations are we talking about?

These questions were discussed together with clients and contractors at the Boskalis Campus in Papendrecht.
After the kick-off by Henrik Hooimeijer (Director of Technology and Technical Management, Rijkswaterstaat), @Jop Groeneweg (professor TU-Delft, Leiden University) took the participants into how our brain works when implementing new innovations in relation to safety. Jack Kusters (Safety Advisor in Rijkswaterstaat projects) has emphasized the urgency of working safely by taking everyone into a situation that actually occurred. And that was impressive…

We were able to indulge our technical passion in the demonstration of some products that are currently entering the market.
This with the focus on automation at road barriers and work area security. Among other things, a WSV, or Workzone Safety Vehicle from Wagenaar Engineering was on display, as the STAN application to allow work traffic to navigate safely through a work zone.
We also demonstrated 50 meters of our Go-Barry here.

We look back on a successful afternoon, full of good energy and substantive discussions. We would like to thank everyone who was present this afternoon and contributed to this!
We look forward to seeing these innovations on our joint projects soon.
